Last week, Faith2Share was invited to North Macedonia to witness and contribute to a historic meeting between local Orthodox and Evangelical communities. Together, they explored shared strategies for mission and evangelism in this small, land-locked Balkan nation.

Despite its size today, North Macedonia has a rich and fascinating history, with strong links to the biblical narrative and the early spread of Christianity in Europe. The gathering took place in Ohrid, a city long known as the “Eastern Jerusalem” because of its deep Christian heritage.

At present, the country is facing significant economic and demographic challenges, alongside ongoing migration pressures. In this context, both faith communities came together to seek fresh and meaningful ways of sharing the Gospel with their own people.
