Faith2Share is continually encouraged by the journeys of emerging Christian leaders within our global network. One of these is Imran, a young woman from Pakistan who ended 2024 feeling stuck and unsure of her next steps. With no financial means and no clear direction, she reached out to Rev. Jan Wessels, Faith2Share’s International Director, who had been mentoring her since 2022. With his guidance—and a prompting to “start applying to Bible colleges”—Imran stepped out in faith. Soon after, God opened an unexpected door: she was accepted into the International Graduate School of Leadership (IGSL) in Manila with a full scholarship covering her studies and accommodation.
However, Imran still faced one significant barrier: she lacked the basic monthly support needed to live in Manila. Without this, the opportunity of a lifetime seemed at risk. Faith2Share was able to step in practically, using our connections to help her access the financial support for her daily needs. This assistance allowed Imran to concentrate fully on her calling to become a Bible teacher—a calling shaped by her own difficult early experiences and her discovery of God’s deep compassion.
Since arriving at IGSL, Imran has flourished. She was elected by her peers to serve as the international representative on the Student Body Leadership Council and has already led ministry teams and group assignments. Although she has faced challenges—including homesickness, cultural adjustment, and even a bout of dengue fever—she continues to grow in resilience and trust in God's path for her.
Faith2Share is delighted to support Imran, offering mentoring, encouragement, and the practical support she needs to continue her studies. Her journey is a reminder of the impact that even modest support can have when invested in the right person at the right time. Imran's story reflects exactly what Faith2Share exists to do: empower local leaders so they can bring knowledge and hope back to their communities.
