Church Mission Society, a founding member of Faith2Share, has announced the appointment of Canon Andy Roberts MBE as its new Managing Director. The 40-year-old mission leader brings extensive experience from his work in Brazil and his current role as CMS's director of mission since 2021.

Originally from York, Andy has spent much of his life serving in Brazil alongside his wife Rose. Together they founded ReVive International, a charity providing holistic support for vulnerable girls affected by abuse and exploitation. Under their leadership, the organisation grew to become nationally recognised and successfully transitioned to local leadership. Andy's commitment to empowering local communities earned him recognition as a lay canon by Archbishop Miguel Uchoa and an MBE in 2021 for his work with vulnerable children.

As Andy steps into this new leadership role at CMS, Faith2Share looks forward to continued collaboration with one of its founding member organisations. Andy is well known to Faith2Share, having first supported the organisation in 2010 when he provided invaluable logistics assistance for the Leadership Consultation in Recife, Brazil. His experience of and passion for mission and empowering local leadership aligns well with Faith2Share's commitment to developing Christian leaders globally through programmes like the Leadership Consultation.
