Hope and Resilience -- An Advent Reflection from Faith2Share

As we approach the end of the year, the season of Advent invites us to pause, reflect, and prepare our hearts for the coming of the Lord. Advent is not only about anticipation, but about renewal — a time to realign ourselves with God’s purposes. Yet in many parts of the world, particularly in more secular societies, the true meaning of Advent can easily be overshadowed by the commercial rush of Christmas.

This year, that call to reflection feels especially important. Many people are facing increased economic pressure, uncertainty, and fatigue, making faith and spiritual support more vital than ever. Advent reminds us that hope is not found in what we accumulate, but in Christ who comes to dwell among us — bringing light, peace and resilience into lives marked by challenge.

Throughout 2025, Faith2Share has seen this hope and resilience lived out in partnership. A consultation visit to Nepal earlier in the year has already borne encouraging fruit, particularly among younger participants who are finding new ways to deepen collaboration and connection between communities — at the heart of Faith2Share’s purpose. A more recent visit to Kenya further strengthened association and partnership through listening and dialogue, highlighting the resilience of church communities committed to whole-life discipleship even amid challenges and limited resources.

In this season of Advent, we are reminded of our hope and trust in God’s renewing work, and we give thanks for the partnerships and shared mission that continue to sustain Faith2Share, our members, and our partners.
