EMERGING MISSION MOVEMENTS PROGRAMME

As one of its three key objectives the Faith2Share network is committed to partnering globally with new and emerging mission movements.

The 21st century sees large numbers of ordinary Christian men and women becoming involved in mission work, often from the Global South (Africa, Asia and Latin America). Through the Emerging Mission Movements Programme we are undertaking research into new mission movements and exploring what meaningful partnerships and collaborations GEmergimg Missions 1.JPGod might be leading us together in His mission.

New mission movements come in all shapes and sizes, many now reaching across boundaries and working in areas which were previously seen as closed for Christian witness, as the world we live in is becoming more and more globalised. They represent mission “from below” and their energy is vital for the growth of the Body of Christ. One thing these various movements have in common is their ethos of being 'salt of the earth' – evangelistic, cross-cultural and transformational.

The Faith2Share network believes that the more established mission agencies and new movements can together advance the Kingdom of God, “being mutually encouraged by each other’s faith” (Romans 1:12). We seek to learn from those movements, support them, and build effective collaboration between established and emerging mission movements, especially within the Orthodox and Anglican communities.
