To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom

5Ms.1.JPGGood news is always worth hearing and, if it is really good news, it is difficult to keep it to yourself. If the good news you have just received could be good news for your friends as well, then it really is worth shouting about.

Members of Faith2Share movements feel exactly that way about God's Kingdom - the discovery that God really is in control and puts our best interests first. That's the good news we want to share - to proclaim.

Proclaiming is quite different from persuading and has nothing to do with forcing our beliefs on others. To proclaim the Christian gospel (good news) is simply to share with others those things that give us purpose, joy and hope in life. As can happen with other forms of good news, the messenger can sometimes become rather over excited or ethusiastic and the news can get rather jumbled - but with patience and mutual respect we can communicate effectively. Whether the good news (in this case about God's kingdom) changes what other people believe, and the way they live, is up to them and God - not the messenger.

Faith2Share member movements believe that the Bible is true and central to what we have to proclaim. We have found it to be a rich expression of the word of God and full of good news - which is often also rather challenging!

Through our work in mission we proclaim the good news of the kingdom in personal conversation, through preaching, apologetics, publishing, and broadcasting, as well as through drama and the arts. Even a silent witness can sometimes proclaim the good news of God's kingdom.

As our strapline says, "We believe faith needs to be shared".
