2010 MISSION EVENTS

The year 2010 marks the centenary of the 1910 Missionary Conference which was so significant in shaping European mission for the twentieth century. To mark this centenary a number of events are taking place around the world in 2010 to contribute to global mission in the twenty-first century.

Faith2Share is committed to supporting these events as they resource Christians from every nation and background for effective participation in the Misseo Dei.

The participants discussed “various plans of missionary labour at home and abroad” in order to identify the theoretical and practical implications for Christian witness and service in their times. Fifty years later, the World Missionary Conference in Edinburgh expanded these and many other aspects of Christian witness and service. The 2010 conference will invite scholars from different parts of the world to reflect on other models of living ecumenism.
